Carlos is an associate professor at IESE Business School and the University of Notre Dame in the USA. He is an honorary professor and executive advisor at the Cardenal Herrera CEU University. He carries out academic activities at the Instituto Internacional San Telmo, Basque Culinary Center and EDEM Escuela de Empresarios. Escario is a faculty member of GLP (Global Leadership Program), a consortium of global companies based in Asia, Europe and North America. As a visitor, he is a professor at the Leadership Center of the Universidad Catolica San Pablo in Arequipa, Peru, and at other institutions around the world. He is also a member of the International Academy of Management.
Founder of Servicios Logísticos Integrados S.A. (SLi), the first Spanish multinational in the logistics and transport operations sector. In 2002, SLi merged with UTI Worldwide, a global corporation, listed on Nasdaq, based in Los Angeles (California). At UTi, Carlos has led the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Europe, North Africa and Middle East (EMENA) region; Global Strategy Management at the Los Angeles headquarters; and operational execution for all 54 countries in the EMENA region as Regional President. In his various roles he has served as a member of the global executive committee.
He has a degree in Business Administration and Management, an MBA from IESE Business School, a Master’s in Marketing from the University Rey Juan Carlos and a PhD from the University CEU Cardenal Herrera.
