Doctor in Engineering and Industrial Management, ETH Zurich Industrial Engineer, ETH Zurich. Philip Moscoso is a professor in the department of operations and technology management. He teaches classes in open programs and in-companies, both executives and master students. The main area of interest is the management of service companies. The objective is to develop strategies and systems that help companies achieve excellence in service, and ultimately, profitable growth. His second line of work focuses on the design of operations management systems from a strategic and integral point of view.
Over the years he has had the opportunity to develop both areas through teaching, research and consultation to a large number of companies. He has published extensively in international journals, congresses and the economic press, both for managers and for the academic community. He has also authored teaching material and a book on the integral management of production.
Before joining the IESE faculty, he was a Manager at the Bain & Co. consulting firm. He has taken a course in Business Services Management at the Harvard Business School, a General Management Program (PDG) at IESE, and completed his PhD and his Engineering at the Polytechnic School of Zurich (ETH) in the Department of Engineering and Industrial Management. At the ETH, he was also employed as a research and teaching assistant, giving courses in the area of operational research (operations research).
