Luis Huete

Methodology

Doctor in Business Administration from Boston University. Holds a Bachelors Degree of Law and an MBA by IESE Business School. He was a Fulbright scholar in the United States and his doctoral thesis on commercial bank services strategy was awarded by the Decision Science Institute of Atlanta as the best thesis completed in the United States in 1988.

He has been a professor at IESE Business School since 1982 and has been a professor in the Achieving Breakthrough Service and Advanced Management programs at Harvard Business School. He has also taught programs for executives in other business schools such as ESE (Chile), IAE (Argentina), IPADE (Mexico), ISE (Brazil), PAD (Peru); Deusto Business SchooI, ISEM Fashion Business School, San Telmo International Institute and Basque Culinary Center (Spain); ESMT (Germany), Timoney Leadership Institute (Ireland), AESE (Portugal); Skolkovo (Russia); Human Capital Leadership Institute (Singapore), Mudra Institute of Communications (India), Hamayesh Farazan (Iran) and Lagos Business School (Nigeria) among others.

As a researcher, he has worked at Harvard Business School developing scientific material and participating in research projects funded by Bell Communications.

Luis Huete is Vice Chancellor and Treasurer of the International Academy of Management and member of the Boards of Directors of the companies Epikurean Resorts and Lifestyles (Thailand), and Altia (Spain). He is also a member of the Advisory Councils of Adizes Graduate School (USA), Regent Leadership (UK), IBS (Mexico), International Institute of Human Capital, Chef Mario Sandoval, Chef Jesus Sanchez, Unikr and Lid Publishing (Spain) . He is a patron of the MNAC Contemporary Art Foundation (Spain) and the Real Dreams Foundation.

He has worked as speaker, consultant and facilitator of senior management teams in more than 700 companies in 70 countries. He has recently worked with CEOs and Management Committees to redesign strategy, structure and culture in companies such as Almirall, Altia, Banco Santander, BBVA, Banco Camino, Banesto, Bankinter, Campofrío, Cepsa, Cristian Lay, Enagás, ITP-Rolls Royce, Loewe, Luckia, Meliá, Neinver, Osborne, Pronovias, Repsol, (Spain); International House and OMG (United Kingdom); Rijk Zwaan and Randstad (Holland); Persgroup (Belgium); Luxxotica (Italy); Addeco (Switzerland); Omnicom, Tricon, UTI (USA), Larraín, Tricon and Telefónica (Chile); O State of Sao Paolo, O Globo, Telesp (Brazil), Nissan (Latam), Coca Cola (Philippines); Deloitte (Australia), etc.

He is the author of twelve management books. “Services and Benefits”, “Build your dream” “Service Administration” and “Clienting” are the most well-known titles and “Leading for the common good” (2015) and “Leaders who made history” (2017) the last ones published. Huete is also a regular writer of articles in the business press.
